Peach Cobbler

1 C butter (divided)
1 C flour
2 1/2 C sugar (divided as 1 C, 1 C, and 1/2 C)
1 T baking powder
pinch of salt
1 C milk
4 C fresh cut peaches
1 T lemon juice
1 t cinnamon

Melt  butter and put into 9 x 13 baking dish (however, as found it will bake in other dishes). Combine flour, 1 C sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk slowly, until the dry ingredients are moistened. Pour onto melted butter in pan. Do not stir!
Bring 1 C sugar, 1 T lemon juice and peaches to boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Pour into baking dish, do not stir!
Melt remaining butter and add with a little bit of flour, remaining sugar and cinnamon- pour on top!

Bake for 30-40 minutes at 375 degrees!! Serve warm and if you are lucky enough… ice cream! (As you may notice, my first try got a little crispy- but tastes delicious!)
